Random No. 08 Read all the Books I have.

I don't know how many books I actually own. Not including cook books I would like to say at least 70. I will have to go through whats on my shelves. I have books in boxes and in cabinets blocked by furniture. I have decided to start with my series collections first. Unfortunately one of my Chronicles of Narnia books is missing. A neighbors kid borrowed it and never gave it back. When I asked for it they couldn't find it. I will no longer allow people to borrow my books. We can trade though. Which reminds me; my friend Raquel has two of my books. I really need to get those back. As you can see I cherish my books dearly. I will be including my daughter Shelby's books as well. She is also an avid reader and has books I have never read before. The series is by Erin Hunter and called Warriors. Shelby also has some audio books on Itunes and I will include those as well, even though I will not actually be reading them.
So I think I will start with The Chronicles of Narnia even though a book is missing. My J.R.R. Tolkein books will follow. I will have a list of the books I read as I go. I will also list start and stop time/date for each book. I am pretty excited about reading every book I own (and Shelby's too). Many of the books I purchased through yard sales and flea markets. Some were given to me after a family members passed. If I didn't take them then the books would have been thrown away. I have books I would not normally read but, I didn't want to throw them out and they are not worth donating because they are outdated. Maybe after I read the books that were unworthy of the world, I will turn them into a recycled art project. If the book is a cook book or reference book I will post it and maybe write about some part of the book I like. So I can at least include every single book.

Lisa

Looking for Adventure

I have been searching for adventures to add to my Bucket List, which I still have not posted, and I think I found a few to try.

The first one is Bring Your Own Big Wheel or BYOBW in San Francisco, CA. It is held every Easter. I went last year with Ryan and we loved it. I am thinking I should buy a used big wheel and give it a try. Plus you can dress up in costumes YAY! Here is a video from last years event.

The next event is called Warrior Dash and it looks AWESOME! So it seems you do a marathon/ obstacle race. I see by the photos you can dress up too. YAY! I think what caught my attention was the fact there was fire to jump over. I thought ooohhh I want to jump over fire. If I do this I will have to start training and preparing my body for it. I'm not all that fit and really need to get in shape. The Warrior Dash would be a great way to get my ass in gear.

Next is Bay to Breakers in San Francisco. This year is the 100th anniversary so I really want to participate. Virginia and I are planning to go. We are trying to get a group together but we'll see what happens. This event also allows costume woo hoo... I don't know if we'll dress up though.

So that is it for now, and maybe I'll finally post the revised Bucket List for all to see soon.

xoxo,

Lisa
